Audio Interview with Allison Grodner.

Here is an interview with Allison Grodner - it runs about 15 minutes and these are some highlights:

• The theme this season may be a "summer camp" kind of thing.
  
• Allison doesn't have any plans for this or next season (if CBS wants it) to be the last.
• No definitive number of HGs for this season, she said anywhere from 12-14.
• Will the fans have a vote this year? Maybe - it seemed to hinge on the number in the jury.
• Allison admits that at times the producers have checked out the various live feeds on the internet when they think they missed something.
• An all star season might be possible next year.

31 days to Big Brother 12

Alrighty folks, start getting ready. Big Brother is right around the corner. The ads are on tv and everyone is ramping up for the show which will hit the airwaves on July 8th.

Here is what I know (very little) and what I am guessing is going on currently......

CBS reports that the casting is officially over. However based on past seasons - if you are in your 20s and have an agent and live in the LA area - you might still yet be cast for the show.

A very small amount of the house guests each year are actually found by casting - most are actually discovered by the casting people or agents send in people from their 'stable' they think fit the kind of characters they need for the show.

If it hasn't happened already, the people that have been cast will be moved into individual hotel rooms to keep them isolated for the most part (although previous cast members have said they ate together but were not supposed to talk). For a little Big Brother trivia, it was at this point during Big Brother 4 that Brandon Showalter lost his chance to be in the Big Brother house when he broke out of his hotel room to call his girlfriend (I'll post that story soon). He was replaced by Jee Choe who was the "ex" of eventual winner Jun Song.

Around July 3rd or 4th the HGs that have made the cut will be moved into the Big Brother house and the taping will begin. We won't get to see them live until after the July 8th season premiere but they will use the tape compiled from the time the HGs enter the house until July 8th for the first couple of shows.

The live feeds - in my opinion THE reason to watch Big Brother will be back - I haven't heard any 'new' news in this area but I assume we will once again have four feeds and the ability to flashback to parts earlier in the feeds (but not before July 8th). This is a great feature as it allows all of us to go back and watch anything we missed over and over again (can you say Chima's mic tossing or Ronnie's calling out?).

Big Brother After Dark will also be shown again so those with showtime will get a few hours of the show - in the past it was 12am - 3am Eastern - I'd assume this will be the case again.

One last thing - the 'staff' of Big Brother Gossip will be growing a bit this season. I'm still not sure who all will be participating but I would expect at least two or three new faces - all long time Big Brother fans. I'm looking forward to the new folks helping out as well as the others that have helped in the past!

James is living in Paris on fan's dime?

Today I learned something about Big Brother and I will explain it in a minute.

I was crusing around the web sites looking for any news to share just so it doesn't look like this web site is dead. Trust me it will be hopping come next summer but most of us hear just plain don't care about Big Brother when Big Brother isn't on.

Anyways, I come across a note that says that James is now living in Paris and that he got the money to go there from donations. Now I am sitting here thinking of James.....


And I follow the link to the blog where James is apparently pouring out his heart to some lost love, and talking about how tough it is in Paris to make ends meet. I continue on reading and I am really starting to get annoyed that this guy has the audacity to get money from fans to pay for his total screwing around as far as I am concerned.


Then I scroll down to another post (past more pleas for donations) where there is a video blog about a road trip to Austin, Texas this past September. In the video I see no sign of James, just two women talking about driving to Austin and partying. Then into the frame walks James with three beers in his hand. OHHHHHHHH, it was the OTHER James that wrote that blog.


You know - Big Brother 9 James. Pink hair, gay porn, biking around the world James. Things suddenly became much clearer and I felt bad fo thinking so badly of BB6 James. I wonder if he has noticed the lessening of name recognition since pink haired James burst on to the Big Brother scene.


And that was the lesson I learned today. The names are starting to get confusing. James, Alison, April, Mike, and more I am sure if I wanted to spend the time looking it up. Lots of duplicates now in the BB alumni list.

Jen and Nick - Ollie and April

This picture was posted a couple of days ago on this site, unfortunalty there were no details as to where or when it was taken, however it would seem to indicate that Ollie and April are still a couple. While I am a bit surprised it shouldn't be a total shock since it has only been just over two months since BB10 ended afterall if you can believe it.

The bigger surprise to me was the thought of Nick and Jen (BB8) as a couple. Seriously? Did Jen win some brains on a game show or what? I guess someone has to date Jen but she never came across to me as someone I could carry on a conversation with for more than 10 minutes.

So as far as I know the countdown to BB11 is still somewhere around 7 1/2 months. I'm still in no rush :)

Happy 25th Birthday Dan.

Today is Dan's Birthday.

Right now everyone is sleeping but my guess is that besides the cake that Renny made for him, Memphis will be giving him the best present of all by pulling him off the nomination block and thus saving him from eviction on Thursday.

The feeds JUST went to the fish cam so they are most likely getting their wake up call.

Besides Jerry falling into the pool yesterday everyone but Jerry had a late night pillow fight that might make the air and we discovered that Memphis is very ticklish. Renny had quite a fun time climbing all over him and tickling him.

Wonder how people would have felt if Renny was a 50 something year old guy and Memphis a 20 something woman. For some reason I think it might have raised a few eyebrows - lol.

If two guys are nominated - one will likely leave Thursday.

The popular opinion seems to be that Dan and Memphis will be nominated.

If that is the case then you can say bye to one of them because even if one of them saves themself with the POV the end result will most likely be a tie vote which Jerry will get to break.

I have shirked my responsibilities and allowed some folks to go a bit overboard it seems. My 'real' life has been keeping me from adminning here the way I would like so I have made a copy of the keys to the store and handed them to Scott. Hopefully between the two of us we can keep the idiots at bay a bit.

Oh, and no more anonymous posting either. Most likely one person ruined it for the rest, but that is how it usually goes.

Task #2 Complete For Dan

As we suspected - America really likes to stick it to the America's Choice player and so Dan was tasked with getting a hug for at least 10 seconds from Jessie.

With a sob storry about missing his girlfriend back home at two in the morning - he got a ten second hug and then some from Jessie - and even mugged for the camera while doing it.

That about makes it a lock in my opinion that America will tell Dan to vote out Jessie - something he has promised to do anyways.

Keesha and Libra may bail on April

Keesha has just told Libra that Dan wants Memphis to stay and they discuss how they feel April is expecting them to follow what she wants. Libra has said she really wanted Jessie out last week. They both also feel that April is expecting both of them to be evicted before her.....

Libra says to Keesha that she will vote out Jessie if Keesha will (and Dan) - but she doesn't think they have the fourth vote..... after a long pause Keesha says they have four (Keesha means Renny). So they are seriously ready to flip on April.

Now as I type Keesha says she is not 100% sure on Dan - but the seed has been planted and I am thinking there is a very strong chance that Jessie goes home - if he does chalk things up to Memphis quietly cozying up to Keesha and Libra this last few days.

Ollie and April have a fight.

Today Ollie was confronted about him possibly being a bit too close to Jessie by April, Libra and Keesha and he was not pleased about it. So after that it seems he kind of kept his distance from April today and it came to a head later on in the evening.

From what I have picked up they had a fight in which Ollie said he felt disrespected by the women for doubting him and his relationship with Jessie - suspecting he might be aligning with him. The discussion went on to a point where Ollie apparently said that he is not the same person inside the house as he is outside. April was really bothered by this because she feels like she is the same person inside the house as outside.

So right now the showmance appears to be on the rocks, but it certainly might fire back up.

If CBS decides to go into this relationship you can also expect to see a convo going on right now between Dan and Ollie where Dan asked Ollie if he had to choose between winning the game and having a relationship outside the house with April - Ollie replied, "That's the half a million dollar question."

Angie needs to fight, Keesha wants Steven to stay.

Couple of items that came up after nominations last night.

Jerry had a bit of a heart to heart with Angie and told her she really needed to start playing the game and stop being so passive. I couldn't agree more. She will be a no-guilt vote out by her fellow house guests the way she has been acting. She even has said to some that if/when she is nominated she will not campaign to stay. How the heck did she get put in this house with that attitude?

Keesha expressed to Libra last night that she doesn't want Steven to be voted out - I would look for her to campaign for him to stay - and if she wins the POV she might just use it to keep him from leaving.

I am really hoping that some of this gets some actual campaigning and conflict in the house, things have just been too easy and quiet this first week. Maybe it is just me. Another part of me feels that this Spring's BB is too fresh and is hurting interest in BB10.

This Alliance Might Last - Nomination Decision Made

Can't say for sure but last night an alliance was revealed that might actually last a while, as long as they can trust one another.

Jesse and Michelle are in what appears to be a pretty strong two-person alliance. Turns out that they formed a four person alliance with Memphis and Angie very early on. Angie has been on the outs with the other three though because she spent a lot of time with Brian, Dan and Steven and even tried to lobby for Brian to stay this past week. Angie promised Jesse and Michelle last night that she was still loyal to them and Jesse has said he will be nominating Dan and Steven and that Steven is the target.

I am not sure about Angie at this point - is is wrong to root for her just because I think she seems nice and is attractive? So far she has shown virtually NO game sense at all. But if she can stay loyal to Jesse, Michelle and Memphis and Memphis is truely considering this his main alliance - this whole group might do ok and last a while.

April and Keesha Square Off

These two went at it last night. I don't think it will save Brian's butt (not that he was involved at all) but it certainly kills the thought of a strong alliance between them (Keesha and April).

Outside Lockdown - Show Tonight 9pm

Don't forget tonight's show at 9pm Eastern. Right now the HGs are on an outside lockdown - most likely just routine maintenance. It has been a very slow day today with no major developments that I have noticed. I haven't even seen Jerry with the camera.

What the heck is with Renny? Brian's look alike.

She looks like she is some old lady in a nursing home getting fancied up for the octogenarian ball or some such thing.

She had to be put in the house for the goof factor.

I anticipate several segments on her crazy outfits and her southern language.

And one other thing, watching Brian I have been trying to figure out who he reminds me of and I finally got it. Have you ever watched Trading Spaces? Remember Doug? I see him in Brian every time I turn on the live feeds and he is talking.

First Season 10 Showmance?

Apparently Ollie and April are sharing the same bed and have been observed cuddling and kissing overnight.

Just a quickie this morning, right now all the HGs are in bed although some may still not have drifted off.
