I hate all the excuses. It's like a slap in the face to anyone who remains in the competition after you. If A, B, or C hadn't happened, you most *surely* would have beat them. Yeah right.
If you're going to make a list of excuses for why you lost a comp, then you can't really take any credit for winning either.
And to my knowledge, they've always been allowed to wear sweatshirts or jackets in those types of comps. It's not anyone's fault but her own that she didn't prepare. Ollie has grips on his hands, and I think Dan does too.

What is the whole thing with the water balloons? Are they part of the competition or is it just something they're playing with?
It doesn't seem very smart to distract yourself with something like that.
It looks like they're playing with them. It would have been more practical to pelt the hamsters with them, but...oh well.
I was kind of hoping it might have been part of the competition. Too bad.
